Update: There were about 430 people that attended at the Medical Outreach on Saturday. About 10-12 made decisions for the Lord. What a blessing! Please pray that these new brothers and sisters will be easily placed in a church so that they can start growing. We praise the Lord for the power of His Word to heal men's souls.
Pete and I have both been teaching at the Baptist Bible Institute of Venezuela for some time now. This semester Pete is teaching Pentateuch (a first-year Bible class) and Administration (a fourth-year Christian Ed class). I am teaching Bible and Science, a study of how real truth and true science do not conflict. I really like teaching this class since I have a bio-chem major. So many Christians are sucked into the idea that science is bad when a study of nature actually reveals so much about God. Here in Venezuela few students are exposed to creation from a science point of view. We have a lot of fun in our class as well as good studies about what science really is.

Just so you know...I am married to a wonderful man, Pete, who has been my husband for 35 years. We have three great married children whose spouses we dearly love: Tabitha (and Sam) and our 2 granddaughters, Mallory and Maya, who live in South Thomaston, ME; Aaron (and Jenna) who live in Fredericksburg, VA; and Dannah (and Justin), expecting twin girls in December, who live in Spanish Fork Utah. We have been missionaries in Venezuela since 1996 (with Baptist Mid-Missions since 1999), sent by our home church, Faith Baptist Church in Spanish Fork, UT.
We just returned from our "Jornada Médica" or a Medical Outreach held today in Puerto Ordaz. The purpose of the outreach is to evangelize through helping people with their physical needs. All patients that enter have the opportunity to hear the Gospel through live preaching and the distribution of tracts. Today several people asked Christ to be their Savior. We are soooo thankful that God is working in the hearts of men here in Venezuela to bring them to Himself. Thanks for your prayers for us!
